Silverlight Templates, a new template type
December 31st, 2009
If you’re a webmaster that likes to be on the cutting edge, you will be happy to hear that there are now Microsoft Silverlight templates available. For those who don’t know, Microsoft Silverlight is a browser plug-in that allows webmasters to design and develop advanced web applications. Silverlight is free both for consumers and developers alike, and in the right hands, the possibilities of this program are nearly endless.
Though Silverlight is fairly simple to develop with and operate, there are templates available for purchase, just like there are for Flash and plain HTML. These templates are a perfect way to get started with a brand new site, or a good way to spice up an existing site. The templates available today are limited, as Silverlight is fairly new, but the number is growing by the day.
Though there are a limited number of templates available, I’m sure you will be wowed by the amazing quality of each and every template. Since Silverlight is literally cutting-edge technology, most web users have never even seen a site that uses it. So, if you want to amaze your visitors and create the buzz needed for a website to become viral, I strongly recommend a Microsoft Silverlight template. And, since all the templates are designed to be as user-friendly as possible, most of the hard work is done for you. For example, the URL structure on the templates is very SEO-friendly, and everything is easy to edit and to customize, whether you’ve had experience with Silverlight or not.
These Silverlight templates are perfect for animation developers, but for the normal webmaster, a simple Silverlight intro might do better. These intros are basically just shells, in which you can place your own information. They are all quite beautiful and stunning, and the integrated CMS (content management system) makes it easy to edit and manipulate. With a few clicks of your mouse, you can edit texts, slogans, and even entire color schemes. You can choose from a wide selection of color presets, or even create your own. And, you can literally see the results of your work instantly with the built-in preview box, which shows the finished product.
