Media Site Interface Design (part 1)

Preview:

  1. Start with a large #FFFDDF colored canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set. Media Site Interface Design. Choose your rounded rectangle tool and set the radius setting to 16 pixels with anti-aliased checked. Create a new layer and draw a 600 x 25 pixels, black rounded rectangle. Use the fixed size setting under rounded rectangle options to make the exact rounded rectangle. Now with your rectangle tool, draw a rectangle on the top left corner of your rounded rectangle.

  2. With your step one layer set the blending mode to Darken and add a drop shadow ayer style:

  3. Duplicate your black rounded rectangle from step two. Nudge this copy up by 4 pixels. Set the layers blending mode to Lighten and add the following layer styles:


  4. Choose your text tool and select font Arial from the list. Set the size to 14 pt, bold, none and #006C70 for color. In a new text layer type your navigation links with spaces between each text. Add "|" using #CCCCCC for color as your spacer.
  5. Choose your text tool and select font Arial from the list. Set the size to 11 pt, bold, none and #FF0000 for color. In a new text layer add more sub links at the end of your rounded rectangle structure.
