How-to Create a Web 2.0 button/icon
In this tutorial, we will show you how to create a stylish web 2.0 button/icon.
- Open a new document, make it 100x100px.
- Chose a background color, in this case white.
- Select the Rectangular marquee tool, hold down shift and draw out a nice square.
- Fill it with any color, and go to Gradient Overlay. Chose two nice colors. We're using #54ec12 and #1ba535.

- Go to Stroke, and set the size to 2px and the color to #4fc90c

- Go to droppshadow, and put the following settings:

- Select a shape, a text or whatever you want on your icon, and put it over the icon-layer.
- Hold down CTRL and press the icon-layer.
- Once you have done that, select the radial marquee tool and hold down ALT. And cut the
selection, as the picture below illustrates.


- Go to Select > Feather and set it to 5px.
- Fill the selection with white, and you are done!
