Create a Psychedelic and colorful flower

  1. Create a new document. In this case 450px x 450px.
  2. Chose a nice background color. In this case we're using #030303.
  3. Draw a nice piece of leaf, or use the leaf in custom shapes. Color it in white.

  4. Cut of the twig, if you are using the custom shape. Use the erase tool.
  5. Mark the leaf with the Magic Wand Tool. Or hold ctrl and press the leaf layer
  6. Go to Select > Feather, set a radius of 5px and press ok. Then fill it with the same color as your backgroundcolor.

  7. Now, duplicate the leaf as many times as you want. Spread them out, rotate and increase or decrease them in size by using the transform tool (ctrl + t)
  8. You should now have something similar to this.

  9. Create a new layer, color it with the Radial Gradient Tool. Change the layer-style to Overlay.

  10. Now, merge the leaf-layers in to one layer. Select The Magic Wand Tool and delete the Gradient, that doesn't cover the leafs.
  11. If you have done this right, it should look similar to this.
